Modular Conversion for SBT Metric Spring Return Hydraulic Bolt Tensioners
SBT series metric spring return hydraulic bolt tensioners are engineered with a modular design. This allows users to adapt an existing tensioner assembly to a different thread size within the same tensioner range. This is achieved by purchasing either individual components or a conversion kit, providing enhanced versatility at a cost-effective rate.
Important Compatibility Note:
Tensioner models SBT3, SBT4, and SBT6 are available with two different bridge sizes. Always verify that your required thread change is compatible with the existing bridge size.
Do not mix components. Ensure all replacement parts match the correct tensioner size and configuration.
A large bridge requires a long threaded puller to ensure sufficient thread engagement and also a large nut rotating socket.
Component Selection:
The table provided (in original documentation) includes the necessary parts to complete a bolt size conversion. These components include:

Conversions must remain within the same tensioner size.
All selected components or conversion kits must carry the same suffix as the target tensioner size (B1, B2, or B3) for proper fitment and safety.
Examples:

To convert from SBT3-M42B1 to SBT3-M48B1, order conversion kit CKS3-M48B1 only.

To convert from SBT3-M48B1 to SBT3-M52B2, you will need conversion kit CKS3-M52B2 and bridge STS3-B2.
