Similar to their imperial counterparts, metric topside hydraulic bolt tensioners are engineered with a modular design, allowing users to adapt the tensioner to different thread sizes within the same model range. This is achieved by using either individual components or a convenient conversion kit, offering excellent versatility at a cost-effective price point.
Compatibility & Bridge Sizes
Tensioner models STS1, STS3, STS4, and STS6 are available with two bridge size options. It’s essential to check compatibility before making any modifications:

Do not mix components from different bridge sizes.

Ensure all selected parts correspond to the same suffix category (e.g. B1, B2, or B3).

Using a large bridge will require a long threaded puller and a matching large nut rotating socket for proper thread engagement.
Component Conversion Example:

To switch from STS3-M42B1 to STS3-M48B1, only the CK3-M48B1 conversion kit is required.

To switch from STS3-M48B1 to STS3-M52B2, you will need CK3-M52B2 and the STS3-B2 bridge.
